Like writing for print and writing for telly, writing for social requires a specific set of skills.
Cue David Schneider and David Levin. Both Davids are writers who have migrated from traditional mediums (David S on shows such as I’m Alan Partridge, and David L at MTV and various magazines) who have moved into social. As Creative Directors at social agency, That Lot, Dave and Dave oversee written social output for brands and broadcasters such as Channel 4, Nando’s and Have I Got News For You. A huge part of getting it right requires expert knowledge of what works on which platforms and finding the right social tone-of-voice for your brand.
Here, the Davids will work through numerous examples of the good, the bad and the ugly in writing for social, and provide practical tips for nailing it. May contain jokes.
- Framework and tips for making you a better writer on social and off
- Nailing your tone of voice on social
- Originality and where to start looking for it
- Writing for specific platforms
