Visual Social platforms like Instagram and Snapchat have radically changed the way we communicate on a daily basis. With 92% of users believing emojis more accurately reflect their emotional states than words, Creative Communications Agency Village seek to answer the burning question; are these forms of visual communication an exciting evolution of language, enhancing and enriching digital interactions? Or will it be catastrophically detrimental to the future generation of communication?

This panel will bring together leading experts from the worlds of fashion, Social Media and linguistics to discuss this topic, honing in on how language and its primary medium has evolved through the digital age, through the use of memes, emojis, bots, and live content, opening the doors to a whole new vernacular and how brands can capitalise on this to connect with audiences on a deeper level.

Audience takeaways:

  • Understanding new forms of digital communication, where they have come from and how they have evolved
  • How best marketeers can harness the power of new forms of communication and incorporate into their strategy
  • Insight into creative narrative shortcuts, and life beyond the small screens of our mobile phones
  • Understanding whats next via spirited debate
