Hosted by UNIT9
BFI Southbank: Stage Two South Block London SE1 8XT
Three years after buying Oculus Rift for $2 billion, Facebook has now launched its first foray into social VR. Spaces will allow you to build and express yourself in VR. You’ll be able to connect with friends and relive memories. VR will be better with your mates.
So VR won’t just be another channel but a ubiquitous platform for shared social experiences. So we’ll have to shape entire worlds for users. And make them magical, physical and shareable.
Since 1997 UNIT9 has been one of the world’s leading digital production companies. With more than 60 VR projects in the bag, we partner with agencies and advertisers to create virtual worlds, encouraging audiences to participate in brand experiences.
Henry Cowling, Executive Creative Director of UNIT9, will explain how social media will become more social because of VR. And tell you how to get set up for it.
In this session learn more about:
- The potentials of VR right now and in the near future
- Why social is the key part of the VR puzzle
- Why tech giants like Facebook are going big on VR
- What you have to consider with making 3D content
- Where the VR action is going for brands
