When and Where Can I pick up my Pass?

If you’re looking to skip the lines at registration, you can pick up your pass early on Monday April 23 from 12pm - 5:30pm at the front entrance of the Broad Stage

You do NOT need to print your email confirmation to pick-up your pass. You can pick-up passes on Monday on behalf of other members of your group, but please bring a copy of everyone's photo ID (on phone or printed).

When does SMW Los Angeles take place?

SMW Los Angeles takes place June 12 - 14, 2018.

All official events will take place at the Broad Stage starting at 9:15am on Tuesday, June 12. You need a Standard or Premium Pass to attend official events at the Broad Stage. There might also be several Independent Events that occur Tuesday through Thursday of the same week, and use separate registration via the independent event's session page on the schedule.




Where does SMW Los Angeles take place?

Official programming will take place at the Broad Stage (1310 11th St, Santa Monica, CA 90401) from Tuesday June 12 through Thursday June 14.

The venue will comprise of:

  • 2 main stages, which will hold more than 1100 attendees
  • Exhibitor Halls where technology providers will demo their products throughout the week
  • Tech Showcase featuring VR, AR, visual storytelling, multisensory live experiences and data-driven art installations
  • Multiple coffee stations providing complimentary coffee and refreshments throughout the day
  • Parking lot with 200 complimentary parking spots available to SMW Attendees

Reminder: Only official events take place at the Broad Stage. There are a few Independent Events listed on the schedule and take place throughout the city. Please check the event descriptions for venue info. Your pass does not guarantee entry to these events.




What are the best ways for attendees to travel to the Broad Stage?

While we have complimentary parking available, we recommend utilizing ride-share when possible as during peak-times, the lot can fill up.

  • 200 Complimentary parking spots are available to SMW attendees at the Broad Stage.
  • The Santa Monica public library parking lot will act as our overspill lot. The library parking lot is a 5 block walk from the Broad Stage. Your parking fee / ticket will be validated at the #SMWLA registration desk.



Does #SMWLA have any hotel partners that provide discounts to SMW attendees?

Is there a mobile app for Social Media Week?

Yes! We have a new app experience that is provided by our Technology Partner, Topi. The app is now available in iOs and Android.

  • LinkedIn and SMW sign-in
  • Networking functionality and chat
  • Leaderboards based on attendee engagement
  • View Agenda and Speakers
  • Event news and notifications
  • Speaker rating and attendee polling

Activate the app experience:

  • Launch the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Android)
  • Search for "Topi"
  • Login via LinkedIn or Facebook and then enter code "smwla". You can also link your SMW account in the profile section of the app.



Does my pass get me into Independent SMW events?

No - Your pass is only for official SMW Los Angeles events. Independent Events are run by the larger SMW community, not us. Therefore, while your Standard or Premium pass grants you access to all official (SMW) events, it won’t necessarily get you into Independent Events. For more information on Independent events, please contact the Independent event organizer listed on our schedule.




Can I share my pass with other colleagues throughout the week?

No, every individual that attends official Social Media Week LA events is required to have his or her own pass. We do not allow multiple individuals to share one pass. There will be attendee check-points and badge monitoring throughout the week.




Can I watch official SMW Los Angeles sessions online?

Sessions will not be live streamed publicly. The sessions can be accessed, both LIVE and On-Demand via SMW Insider. All Standard and Premium Passholders should have received instructions on how to subscribe to SMW Insider via email.




Are there food options on site?

We will be providing complimentary coffee onsite for all attendees each morning and water and snacks throughout the day. SMW Attendees will also have their pick of complimentary food truck options during the lunch hour.

The SMW audience is made up of professionals at the intersection of media, marketing and technology across a range of industries including marketing, advertising, communications, media, publishing, technology and entertainment.




Where can I view the schedule of events?

Tip: "Bookmark" events on the Agenda page. Bookmarks allow you to easily view and save the events you're most interested in. Just look for the small bookmark icons below each event on the Agenda page, and click to save that event. You can access your list of all bookmarked events from the top of each page on the site by clicking on your bookmark icon.

Are there discounts or scholarships available?

At the moment, our SMW Scholarship Program for students and non-profits is closed. If you're still looking to purchase a pass, you can visit the SMW Los Angeles pass options page for the most up to date rates. Email losangeles@socialmediaweek.org for any available non-profit discounts.




Is there a coat check at the conference?

There is not a formal coat check at the conference.
