Social Media Week Miami Delivers Top Social Media Influencers

MIAMI, Florida – August 5, 2015: In keeping with Social Media Week’s national and international brand, the Miami team has reached from coast to coast to bring the top Social Media Influencers in the nation to its conference in Wynwood the week of September 14, 2015. Such influencers include Sean Gardner, Ann Tran, Ted Coine, Pam Moore, Glen Gilmore, Sree Sreenivasan, Rebekah Radice and Diana Adams. Conference registration is now open.
According to Forbes Magazine, which has been ranking them for several years, Social Media Influencers are people who through their original content and level of engagement exert a measurable effect over the actions and opinions of their hundreds of thousands of real and highly active followers.

Forbes Magazine named Sean Gardner the number one Social Media Influencer in the nation. Gardner co-created the Huffington Post’s Twitter Powerhouses Series, which profiles newsmakers in fields that intersect with social media. He is an African –American social media consultant and correspondent for numerous publications. Gardner is also the author of the best seller “The Road to Social Media Success.” He has a bachelor degree in political science and marketing, and additional experience in the field of public relations.
Also Forbes Magazine ranked Ann Tran the second highest Social Media Influencer. Tran is the co-creator of #InfluencerChat, a weekly Twitter discussion that’s open to all and meant to inspire participants to build highly effective online brands and businesses. Tran herself is a social media consultant who in addition to writing about social media and technology, likes to write about business, travel, photography, art and other inspirational topics. She is a regular contributor to Entrepreneur and the Huffington Post. Tran has a bachelor degree in communications and media studies.
Ted Coine, a nationally recognized leadership expert, has been ranked as high as number nine in Forbes Magazine’s list of top Social Media Influencers. During Social Media Week Miami he will speak about the demise of the industrial age management model and explain how executives and employee brand ambassadors can leverage the power of social media. Coine is the author of “A World Gone Social: How Companies Must Adapt to Survive.” Business News Daily has listed his Twitter handle among the 15 Twitter accounts that every entrepreneur should follow. Coine is a serial business founder, who has thrice served as corporate CEO. Currently he is the CMO of Meddle.it, an enterprise Saas firm at the cutting edge of content marketing through employee advocacy. He has a bachelor degree in philosophy and psychology.
Pam Moore, ranked as high as number 10 on Forbes Magazine’s list of Social Media influencers is a self-described “half geek, half marketer, 100% social media nutz.” She is the CEO of Marketing Nutz, a full social media agency, and the best-selling co-author of “Social Media Relationship Age,” and “Game Changers: America’s Leading Entrepreneurs and How They’re Changing The Game, and You Can Too.” Moore has the guts to say what people may not want to hear but need to know in order to drive results. She studied business administration, marketing strategy, information systems and journalism, and has a bachelor degree.
The only lawyer in the group Glen Gilmore has been ranked the number 15th top Social Media Influencer by Forbes Magazine. Also a 2014 survey of digital marketers determined that Gilmore was among the top 20 people re-tweeted by digital marketers in North America. Gilmore advises clients on digital marketing, strategy, reputation management, governance, compliance and social media law. Lauded as a national hero by the Ney York Times during the anthrax crisis and having twice served as mayor of Hamilton, New Jersey, Gilmore is especially interested in crisis and emergency communications. Gilmore, who also teaches at the university level, is the author of “Social Media Law for Businesses.”
Sree Sreenivasan is the first Digital Officer at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, where he leads a 70-person team. He was a professor at Columbia’s School of Journalism and has trained journalists and other professionals on the intelligent use of social media. The Society of Professional Journalists has named Sreenivasan one of the top 20 journalists to follow on Twitter. Earlier this year, Sreenivasan joined CBS Radio’s new PlayIt podcasting network with the “@Sree Show: Talking Tech, Culture, Entrepreneurship” Sreenivasan has a Master degree in Journalism.
Rebekah Radice co-created #InfluencerChat with Tran. She is a social media strategist and marketer, whose early experience on morning radio taught her how to reach and engage audiences. Radice co-founded the digital marketing agencies Imagine WOW and Social Success Academy in order to train brands and businesses to create a vibrant online presence. She is the author of “How to Use Social Media to Virtually Crush the Competition.”
