Social Media Week

Social Media Week is a leading news platform and worldwide conference that curates and shares the best ideas and insights into social media and technology's impact on business, society, and culture.

For the third year in a row, Social Media Week returns to Miami (SMWMiami). The conference will take place from September 12th through the 16th, at the Miami Ad School located in Miami’s street art district of Wynwood. During the first two days, SMWMiami will showcase the Cuba Internet Freedom Conference (CIF), produced in partnership with the Broadcasting Board of Governors  (BBG) which is the U.S. International Civilian Broadcast Agency.  CIF will unite all persons and entities interested in fostering uncensored access to the internet in Cuba, including U.S. dignitaries, as well as Cubans living in the island and leading the way in Cuba’s restrictive digital landscape.

Under the leadership of the British Consulate General in Miami, SMWMiami will also be partnering with some of the approximately 60 consuls representing foreign nations that are stationed in the city of Miami. SMWMiami will provide once again the platform for cutting edge discussions with dignitaries, business leaders, technology innovators, marketing professionals, social media influencers, mainstream media, corporations, agencies, and many more,  throughout the following content tracks: (1) Business, Marketing and Entrepreneurship; (2) Journalism, Communications and Public Relations; (3) Society and Lifestyle; and (4) Government and Non Profits.

Stay tuned for the upcoming release of the initial SMWMiami 2016 schedule over the next days, save the dates, get your passes now to save 20% and remember, because it’s Miami, about half the panel sessions will be in English while the rest will be en Español.

The Social Media Week September Edition will take place simultaneously in 4 cities around the globe – London, Miami, Mumbai and Sao Paulo – enabling a real global conversation around this year’s theme “The Invisible Hand: Hidden Forces of Technology (And How We Can Harness It for Good). Download the #SMW16  mobile app to connect with SMW fans around the world and join the growing #SMWMiami local community on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram  and Youtube.
