Viber and the Huffington Post Team up to Launch 2016 Presidential Campaign Sticker Pack
Social Media Week is a leading news platform and worldwide conference that curates and shares the best ideas and insights into social media and technology's impact on business, society, and culture.
Viber, one of the world’s leading messaging apps with more than 754 million users worldwide, has partnered with The Huffington Post to launch a series of exclusive 2016 Presidential election stickers, the companies announced today. The Huffington Post is a leading global source of breaking news, opinion, entertainment and community, and HuffPost Politics is the second largest political news site in the U.S. (comScore).
“The partnership with The Huffington Post continues a trend that Viber has been seeing where more media outlets are expanding their reach to readers by utilizing different platforms”
In addition to the sticker pack, The Huffington Post will also launch a Viber Public Chat, which are live discussions from celebrities, personalities and brands across many topics including music, sports, fashion, entertainment, news and more. Users who download the pack will be signed up to follow HuffPost’s Election’s Public Chat where they will be able to engage with editors for real-time updates and political analysis from the site’s top political editors and reporters.
“The partnership with The Huffington Post continues a trend that Viber has been seeing where more media outlets are expanding their reach to readers by utilizing different platforms,” said Scott Nelson, Head of Viber North America. “Viber exists as a platform to express your creativity and we’re excited to have The Huffington Post release their presidential sticker pack during this exciting election season, as well join a new public chat which focuses on the race to the White House.”
“We’re constantly looking for fresh and fun ways to reach new audiences,” said Ashley Alman, Social Media Editor of HuffPost Politics. “The HuffPost Elections Public Chat on Viber not only reaches new audiences, but the chat gives our readers a unique glimpse at the kind of candid conversations we typically have amongst the politics team in the D.C. Bureau surrounding the news of the day. The release of the sticker pack will only add more flare to our conversations, while giving Viber users a way to join the conversation.”
With Public Chats, Viber users can get on the inside of things that matter to them most and watch the conversations unfold in real-time. With more than 500 sticker packs now available to choose from, Viber is celebrating this milestone by giving away free political stickers to its Sticker Market for iOS and Android users.
