Public Sector General Manager LATAM, Microsoft
Guillermo Almada is currently the Public Sector General Manager of Microsoft Latin-America New Markets leading a team of sales and marketing professionals serving government, education, public safety and healthcare customers in more than 36 countries. In this role, he oversees Microsoft’s work in providing innovative technology solutions and forward-thinking programs to help public sector organizations provide efficient and effective public services to their citizens and build the capacity of their populations. Previously, he performed other roles in WW Corp and LATAM as Business Development and Industry Lead.
Prior to joining Microsoft, he spent 20 years in the IT industry, working in several positions both locally and internationally at IBM and other technology companies. After an extensive sales and manager career, his specific emphasis during the previous 8 years before joining Microsoft was M&A both with IBM and working with other non-technology organizations like Bank of America in the acquisition and building of IT companies in the region.
He currently lives in Florida, US where the Microsoft LATAM HQ is located, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a MBA degree. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
