Marketing Director, Orange Bowl
Christina M. Ramos began her sports career at the University of Florida Athletic Association during her time as an undergraduate as an Assistant with Gator Boosters Inc. on planning the 100 Year Anniversary of Gator Football Gala. She also interned in the Athletics Marketing Department, and in the Sports Information Department as a scorekeeper for Softball.
She then continued her career in sports with the Orange Bowl Committee in 2007 as the 75th Anniversary Coordinator – an exciting first venture that ignited her enthusiasm to be an integral part in developing the Orange Bowl’s 75th Commemorative book and television special highlighting unforgettable Orange Bowl moments and milestones of grand tradition and history. During her tenure with the Orange Bowl Committee, she has also served as the Partnership Services Coordinator, Marketing & Promotions Manager, and in 2014 she was promoted to Director of Marketing.
As a result of experience she has gained, Christina has been called upon to seve as an adjunct professor at Florida International University teaching courses on Sports Marketing and Recreation Human Resources Management and Leisure Services Marketing. She has also shared her insights as a guest lecturer at the University of Florida, Ohio University, University of North Carolina, Barry University, Saint Louis University and Bluffton University.
Christina also serves in leadership roles as the President of the Women In Sports and Events (WISE) South Florida Chapter.
In 2012, she was presented for the North American Society of Sports Management Conference in Seattle and has been published several times in Sports Marketing Quarterly (SMS), SEAT Magazine, and in Event Management Blueprint, a textbook by published by Kendall Hunt.
Christina has a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and Event Management from the University of Florida with a Minor in Health Education, and received a Masters of Sports Administration from Ohio University. She recently was honored and recognized as one of UF’s Alumni Hall of Fame and a recipient of the Outstanding Young Alumni Award Recipient for the College of Health and Human Performances.
