ARTIFACTS is a quarterly showcase of well-known and emerging artists, designers, photographers, and others who fall outside of conventional categorization. The event places special emphasis on cross-pollination across disciplines, using the online and offline space to connect people with different backgrounds, motivations and interests. Its unique format includes a few short segments:
> DRIVE BY a visual display of digital and physical artifacts presented by various creatives selected by a rotating cast of industry experts (“curators”).
> DISASSEMBLY works-in-progress unveiled followed by creative public critique by “curators” and experts.
> UNDERSTUDY previously unpublished work presented by non-professionals and students.
The event takes place at the esteemed Norwood, a unique private social club in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood. Doors open with cocktails and great people at 8 pm and close at 9 pm for 45 minutes of programming. Then stick around for the rest of the evening and meet someone that doesn’t do what you do.
Tickets must be purchased in advance here.
Artifacts is presented by Studio Akko, a full service user experience, design & strategy group based in NYC.
