Highline Stages - Classroom 1

Are you a creative or entrepreneur that wishes you could speak tech with your web development team? Maybe you wish you could code a bit yourself? Programming for Non-Programmers is master class designed to help non-programmers communicate more efficiently with developers.

Leading a development team (without being a developer yourself) can sometimes feel like “talking about dancing.” This class is interactive and easy to follow and covers the basics so you can get going quickly and have better conversations with your team. For developers just getting started, think of this as the primer to help kickstart your career.

If you’re running a tech start-up, it’s essential that you familiarize yourself with the fundamentals of web development. Ultimately knowing how to “talk to the talk” will help you communicate better with developers, and overall just look really cool.

From a look at development principles to coding languages to CMS, we’ll cover the basic stages of web development, how to know what deliverables you need to provide, and basics of reading code to get started. At the end of this class, you’ll be able to connect more with your team members, find the right courses or next-steps for your career, or have a better idea of what your friends and family do for a living!
