All of us want to be happy. Many of us however, find that happiness is not a lasting state. When external factors don’t show up in our lives, we return to our default setting of dissatisfaction, confusion, stress, low self-confidence and a longing for a better life. Happiness is an idea, something other people may have, but we don’t.
The good news is, nothing is permanent or fixed and we can change our worldview within a moment of deep insight, learn new skills through the power of determination and actualize our full human potential by training the mind.
Ancient contemplative traditions of the East and Western science are coming together to inform us that happiness is a skill that we can train through practice. Understanding our “psycho-physiological” processes or our mind/brain better, will empower us to make those necessary changes towards a happier and more self-reliant life. The first step towards happiness, is becoming more mindful.
This talk will explore techniques and the science around mindfulness and meditation, allowing you to:
- Develop mental clarity
- Cultivate and focus attention
- Train the mind to change the structure and function of the brain
- Develop a regular practice to influence neuroplasticity
- Enhance self-awareness

- Create and maintain positive habits
