Crowdcentric Media, SMW’s parent company is hiring for positions during the Social Media Week New York 2017 conference. Here’s a breakdown of the current positions available:

  • Stage Manager
  • Assistant Stage Manager

 


Stage Manager

Role Description
The primary role of the Stage Manager is to coordinate, manage, and organize the programming schedule of Social Media Week New York 2017 Official Events under the direction of the internal Crowdcentric Team.

The candidate will be assigned to one of two stages at the SMWNYC 2017 Official Venue to fall under his/her responsibility. This candidate must be outgoing and work well within a fast-paced, team environment.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Being entirely responsible for the “run of show,” which includes making sure speakers, moderators, A/V technicians, all understand when and where they need to be, and what they need to do, leading up to, during, and immediately following the event.
  • Responsible for making sure all session presentations are cued and run through properly during the conference

Time Commitment
Thursday, February 16, 2017: 2-hour orientation at Crowdcentric offices in SoHo (2-4pm)

The full-time portion of this position will begin on February 27, 2017 (8am) and end on March 3, 2017 (5pm). The candidate will contribute a minimum of 40 hours of work during this the full-time portion of the contract. A 30-minute lunch break will be provided.

Assistant Stage Manager

Role
The primary role of the Assistant Stage Manager is to work alongside the Stage Manager in coordinating, managing, and organizing the programming schedule of Social Media Week New York 2017 Official Events under the direction of the internal Crowdcentric Team.

The candidate will be assigned to one of two stages at the SMWNYC 2017 Official Venue to fall under his/her responsibility. This candidate must be outgoing and work well within a fast-paced, team environment.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming speakers into the Green Room area and getting them prepped for their sessions which includes going over the show’s timeline, relaying any last-minute requests to the SMW team
  • working with Stage Manager to cue speakers going on and off stage
  • keeping Green Room area tidy for speakers as they come in/out and changeover

Time Commitment
