Work the Conference

Do you have a passion for media marketing and technology? Do you have an interest or background in live event production?

Social Media Week New York City is currently looking for interested candidates to join the team to support our next event which takes place between April 29 and May 2nd at the Time Square Sheraton Hotel.


Registration Staff

Assist in the processing of upwards of 3,000 attendees who will be joining us for Social Media Week!

You: Personable, kind, quick on the computer, customer service minded and fast data entry and works well under pressure.


Theater Ushers

Assist SMW attendees navigate 1 of the 4 stages throughout the week and lend the theater teams a helping hand keeping the show moving smoothly.

You: Not afraid to take initiative personable, kind, customer service minded, and fast on your feet.


Help Desk Associates

Answer any and all questions regarding the SMW event landscape.

You: Personable, kind, customer service background, fast on computer and ability to reference event information to attendees on location.


Lounge Attendants

Answer any and all questions in our lounge, be the eyes and ears of the event for managing staff to help insure attendee deliverables are being met.

You: Hospitality background, customer service minded and personable.


Stage Assistant

Work hand and hand with our stage crews to ensure a seamless show process.

You: Able to lift 10 - 20lbs, able to be on your feet for long periods of time, excited about live shows, kind and personable.


Logistic Managers

In charge of general event oversight and fluidity of assigned portions of event space, management of event staff teams.

You: Detail oriented, team leader, delegates efficiently, personable, cool, calm and collected under pressure.


Show Runner

Tech-savvy, personable individuals who will be in charge of a stage’s run of show, timely, quick thinkers and are able to interface professionally and efficiently with speakers and A/V staff to ensure a high quality program on stages.

You: stage management experience, computer-savvy, problem troubleshooter who works well under pressure.


Speaker Prep Manager

Work with speakers closely during conference to ready them for their stage sessions, work with liaisons to make sure they’re in the right place at the right time.

You: Personable and professional individual with experience in handling talent, organized and able to keep track of multiple things going around you at the same time


Speaker Liaison

In charge of escorting speakers and entourages in a timely manner to various points throughout conference, from registration to lounges to stages

You: Personable, friendly individuals who are quick on their feet with experience in handling talent and making them feel at ease.
