Radha Agrawal is a community force. She is the Co-founder, CEO, and Chief Community Architect of Daybreaker, the early morning dance and wellness movement that currently holds events in 25 cities and more than a dozen college campuses around the world and has a community of almost half a million people. She is a successful entrepreneur (Co-Founder THINX, LiveItUp), author, speaker, DJ, inventor, and investor, and was named as “one of 8 women who will change the world” by MTV. Radha is also the recipient of the Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Award and has spoken about social entrepreneurship and community building to audiences around the world.

Her new book, BELONG: Find Your People, Create Community, and Live a More Connected Life, answers the questions “How the heck do I find my people?” and “How do I create large and meaningful communities in the real world?” Radha lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her love, Eli, a baby on the way, and her twin sister, Mikiand lots of family and friends within a few blocks. You can most often find her tinkering with community and experience design projects, or on the dance floor at Daybreaker in New York City (if she’s not dancing at sunrise in another part of the world.)

She holds a B.S. in Materials Engineering w/ minors in Mathematics, Economics and Computer Science from Rutgers, a M.S. in Financial Engineering and a Grad Certificate in Risk Management from NYU, and a MBA in Strategy, Finance and Decision Sciences from Emory. She has also studied at top business schools around the world including FGV-Rio (Brazil), WHU-Koblenz (Germany) and RSM-Erasmus (Netherlands).

She has traveled to 80+ countries and is knowledgeable on the economic levers and cultural uniqueness that drives how business is conducted in various parts of the globe. Her diversified experience spans strategic, operational and tactical enterprise concerns. In 2018, “The Daily” became the most-downloaded show on Apple Podcasts and was named a top podcast of the year by New York Magazine and The Atlantic. In 2017, the show won a DuPont-Columbia University Award for audio excellence. Also in 2017, Barbaro was named to the Recode 100 and People Magazine’s list of Sexiest Men Alive.

In a tribute to “The Daily,” The New Yorker wrote: “In Barbaro’s hands—or, rather, in Barbaro’s voice—the Times becomes conversational and intimate, instead of inky and cumbersome. It’s a twenty-minute update murmured in your ear by a well-informed, sensitive, funny, modest friend—the kind of person who has as many questions as answers.” The Atlantic called Barbaro “America’s podcasting sweetheart and The Daily, the most impressive work of the year.”

Before hosting “The Daily,” Barbaro was a national political correspondent for The Times and host of “The Run-up,” a political podcast that chronicled the 2016 election. Previously, he covered New York’s City Hall and the U.S. retail industry.

He joined The Times in 2005 from The Washington Post, where he began in 2002 as a reporter covering the biotechnology industry. Barbaro graduated from Yale in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in history.

In 2010, Thomas joined Coty Inc. in New York City as the global brand leader for Calvin Klein Fragrances & Color Cosmetics – the world’s third largest prestige fragrance house. In addition to growing and re-establishing the brand building fundamentals for Calvin Klein, Thomas quickly established himself as a thought leader within Coty who pioneered new approaches in digital, social media, talent and creative development.

Since early 2016, Thomas serves as the Senior Vice President for Global Brand Licensing, Marketing and Product Design for Marchon Eyewear, a division of VSP Global – one of the leading vision care companies globally. In this position, Thomas works with some of the world’s best known fashion and lifestyle companies such as NIKE, Columbia, Calvin Klein, Cole Haan, Lacoste, Chloé, Salvatore Ferragamo, Etro and Marni on developing their eyewear businesses while managing marketing capabilities, media, creative, PR and employee communications for his company. In the summer of 2016 Marchon added responsibility for the company’s global product design and development centers in New York City, Puos d’Alpago/Italy and Hong Kong to his role.

Previously, he led the Social Engagement practice across Steve Stoute’s New York advertising agency, Translation. There, Marcus leveraged the psychological motivators that drive what we do, say, and share in an effort to create contagious marketing programs that extend across both the online and offline world of ‘social’. His strategies and creative contributions have led to the success of Budweiser’s “Made In America” music festival, the launch of Bud Light Platinum, the launch of the Brooklyn Nets (Hello Brooklyn!), and State Farm’s “Cliff Paul” campaign – to name a few.

Prior to joining Translation, Marcus led iTunes + Nike sport music initiatives at Apple (iTunes Partner Marketing) and ran digital strategy for Beyoncé.

Marcus is an extremely passionate educator. He teaches at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, as a Teaching Excellence Award Winning and Golden Apple Award nominated professor of marketing. He teaches around the globe and speaks across stages far and wide, from Cannes Lions International Festival for Creativity to C2 Montreal, SXSW, Social Media Week, Hyper Island, TEDx, and Talks at Google.
